Criterion Moving their entire collection from Netflix to Hulu Plus

Let me start out by saying until I read this article on pcmag.com, I wasn’t even sure who or what Criterion is or what they did. I was just scanning the article and wondering why would someone move their content from Netflix to Hulu? Then I came accross this quote in a blog post from Peter Becker, the director of the Criterion Collection;

And finally, why Hulu? In short, because they get it. As their regular viewers know, the Hulu user experience is exactly what it should be: simple, elegant, and focused on the content. Hulu has built their brand on letting the shows and movies take center stage. Nobody does it better, and we’re honored that they see Criterion as a good match for their audience.

What was that about the user experience? If they are going to make the move for financial sense then please say so, don’t give people this spin about the Hulu user experience because it does not even begin to compare with Netflix. And I am not even talking about the fact that you can find Netflix on pretty much every TV, Console and Blu-Ray player being sold today. Hulu is slow, buggy and I see ads even on Hulu Plus when I am playing for a subscription!
