On May 8th I went to a viewing of 300: Rise of an Empire. I had to endure almost 40 minutes of ads and previews - "First Look" started about 20 minutes before the movie and the opening credits starting rolling at 4:20pm: a full 20 minutes after the posted time of 4 pm. This happened at the AMC Empire 25 at Time Square. A couple of weeks later on April 5th, Captain America: The Winter Soldier at Regal Court Street in Brooklyn and the movie started 13 minutes past the 2pm posted start time.
I understand that with viewership declining, theaters have to find "creative" ways to grow revenues but something should be done where customers have some idea of the actual start times.
I have to endure higher ticket prices, higher food prices, and a harder time trying to find "regular" movies and now this. (I wear glasses and I can't watch 3D and my eyes hurt to watch movies in IMAX)
